Angry No Sound & System requirement for Mepis 3.3

Hi,
i have a P1/ 233MHz/ 128MB / 40GB machine with win2k pro and XP pro dual boot. I am running Mepis with live CD yet.

1. My sound card, Sound Blaster 16 is not identified by Mepis and at the boot up it says sound card not identified or something. please help me to configure this.

2. Can I run Mepis 3.3 with my configuration smoothly.

3. when installing the GRUB, do i have configure GRUB for multi boot. please note that Mepis takes HDDs in this manner :
c: hda1 - win2k pro
d: hda5 - where I intend to Install Mepis
e: hda6 - WinXP pro
g: hdd1 - 10GB spare HDD
please tell me how to configure GRUB.

what do i have to select for </ (root) partition> when installing GRUB

Thank you in advance.
