no screens found...error

hi forum
i m having intel 845 graphics adpater card.the read hat 8 installations selects it also by default but i m not able to get x server some problem with screes i get the creens not found error? what may be the reason is there any documentation available on such errors.

As root, do the following:

Code:

xf86config

When it asks if you want to look at the card database, say 'y'.
Use the i810 driver - I think it's #15.
Make sure that your monitor refresh rates and Horiz Sync are correct.
If in doubt, use a lower rate.
Try 31.5 for Sync, and 50-70Hz for refresh rate.
Startx again, and you should be fine.
If not, post the output here, along with /etc/X11/XF86Config.

It should say "Screens found, but none have a usable configuration."

hey

i have seen such problems in red hat 8.0 with the chipset u use
u ned to get upgraded to 9.0 or above

one thing u can try is

when u r getting the eror
then
ctrl+alt+(+,-) 3-4 times

maybe u switch to a different screen
