My card is Radeon Xpress 1250.I tried everything , editing the xorg.conf to change VESA to ati and nothing. Please help !.

Well... lots have a look at that xorg.conf and see if we cannot spot something.

Meanwhile, have you seen these:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-steps-297545/
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=83813
... etc. It seems there are all kinds of things this could be. A typo in xorg.conf to a faulty driver.

Here's someone with the same error with the same card and distro:
http://lists.opensuse.org/radeonhd/2.../msg00251.html
... solution was to add the sync and rfresh lines to the monitor section. Go figure.

(EE) FAiled to load module "radeon" (module does not exist, 0)

FAtal Server error:

@chandro
I don't think that that is of much help for MethodMan.

If it's a question, please start your own thread as this will get confusing.

Simon Bridge 11-04-2007 07:22 PM

chandro is trying to follow advise to add your own post to an existing thread (see the links in my sig.) However, he should have found a thread where the problem being discussed is similar to his own.

See:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...upgrade-593849

The error means what it says - you don't have the radeon driver installed. The solution is to install it. You can use the vesa driver instead.

A word in your ear: Edit you profile so it shows your distro and some sort of location. This helps you get the answers that actually help.

Meanwhile: still haven't heard from OP.

MethodMan: how did you get on?
