no midi output...

i have Mandrake 9.1...
I can hear mp3s but not midi.
If i try kmid it says that /dev/sequencer does not exist...

this is my modules.conf

probeall usb-interface usb-ohci
above snd-es1938 snd-pcm-oss
alias sound-slot-0 snd-es1938

I don't think your sound device supports MIDI. Whats your sound device model.

Check ALSA site. It has some examples what your module.conf should have for your sound device. Sorry you didn't mention your sound device, so I can not help you any further.

Well... MIDIs work just perfect in Windows so i guess this is not the problem.
Windows says that it is an ESS Solo-1 PCI AudioDrive
Linux says that is is an ES1969 Solo-1 Audiodrive
