No Medium Found Problem

I have a TDK VeloCD drive that was working fine with my last Red Hat 9.0 instalation. I decided to do a fresh install because I screwed the last one up too much. Now for some reason I'm getting a "No Medium Found problem when I try to mount the cdrom drive. I know the drive is working fine because its working in Windows with the same CD. Does anybody know a solution to this?

Does RH 9 use super mount? Some times that bugger takes forever to mount if at all, had a bad time with it under Mandrake 9.1 dropped back to 9.0. What kind of medium are you using? Have you tried to play an audio cd with the player?
