knightfall LQ Newbie Registered: Aug 2003 Posts: 1 Rep:	no KDE on tv screen, why? Hi everyone, thanks for reading and trying to help me. I have a problem with tv output and Mandrake 9.1. When I connect only the monitor to the pc, starting KDE is no problem at all. But as soon as I connect the tv as well (with my ATI radeon 7000 VE), both tv and monitor show only text mode, and it's impossible to start KDE. Same if I only connect the tv, without monitor. Since I wanted to use this pc for playing movies and watching them on my tv, tv output is crucial to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And my apologies if this is a dumb question, I'm a real noob to linux. Greetings from Hamburg/Germany Manuel
