no drivers for digital cameras

I currently have 2 digital cameras I want to connect to Linux through gtkam: a Benq and a Medion camera. The problem is that there are no drivers for these cameras. Is there a way to connect them via usb?

I saw a utility in gnome that is supposed to work well with digital cameras (gkam?), but I haven't been able to get my Trust Webc@m Flash to work with it.

Have you tried to mount them ?

Most digital cameras are like any other mass storage device and most of them use FAT32.
So you should be able to mount them like you would a partition.

Check out this thread (and all the links within the thread) for more info.

Also, I suggest performing a search for digital cameras on LQ, you will find many threads.
