no distro could be installed


i have a pc with jetways gdg motherboard with an amd64x2 4000 processor.i cannot install any linux dstro other than ubuntu. The system hangs up when i try to loag into root and refuses to recognise even keyboard.I am unable to install Fedora, Mandriva zenwalk, though the md5 checksums are correct.win xp is already installed and running, albeit slowly. please help me.

If you can install Ubuntu, you should be able to install Debian.
