No CD Sound on an NVIDIA Nforce2 Board

This really sucks,
I got an Asus A7n8x Deluxe v2.0 with the nforce 2 Chip which uses the Soundstorm 3d-Soundsystem.I can hear normal audio (like error messages on kde or mp3s on xmms), but the cd audio stays silent, even though I put the cd volume to 100%.
I am using SuSE Linux 9.0.
Anybody hear who knows how to fix this problem?

Well I could try that, its just kinda strange:
CD Sound works perfectly on WinXP! =/

Becouse on Windows you have "digital" cdaudio playing... and second thing is that SoundStorm need 48khz , or you have to disable spdif output see driver readme on www.nvidia.com.
Ofcourse you can try to install ALSA drivers too it should help...
