Thumbs down No booting after installation!

No booting after installation!
I installed RH Linux but no matter what, it does not want to boot up from HD or floppy!
I installed it and reinstalled, updated and rescued it but it will NOT boot up. Since it is an IBM LBA 30 GB drive, I even: forced LBA32 on it but nothing. When I tried to boot up from a floppy it reported back: “Boot error!”
Has anyone met such a stubborn system? Mobo is Intel D945GNT.

If I can remember correctly, on an LBA drive your /boot partition has to be below cylinder 1024. If it is above, you will not be able to boot linux. You do need LBA32 on in the BIOS.

Thumbs down no luck booting

I swapped the hard drive for another one but I get same result. I can use “Linux rescue” to reinstall the Grub loader and check the file as well but it will not load no matter what. Actually I get the Intel boot agent to boot but then it says “No bootable device”.
