No Boot Device Found install ubuntu 12.04 on machine with hardware RAID controller

Hi,

This has obsessed me for days. I have a DELL machine with PERC H310 RAID controller. I set it to RAID0 and installed ubuntu 12.04. But after installation it says "No Boot Device Found", already in live cd I can see the file system indeed is created.

I tried to pull off H310 and connect HDD directly to mother board, install and boot and it works as normal. So it must be something with the H310 raid controller.

Am I missing some drivers or bio setting? Thanks!

Most likely Ubuntu install cannot cope with this hardware. You may want to configure your kernel manually to get it working. Or you may try and file a bug with Ubuntu.
