No BIOS?
 
I am trying to get xbattery and xapm to work. I have downloaded and compile kernel 2.6.11.5, I have apm built-in the kernel but xapm keeps telling me there is no support for it. I checked with dmesg and got this message:
apm: BIOS not found.

How can I fix this problem?

Update your motherboards BIOS and enable APM in it? Just guessing. It still may not work depending on your hardware.
