No 3d games work.. possible graphics card problem?

I'm on kernel 2.6.3 and have a dell dimension 2400 with intel 845g integrated graphics and neither RTCW et or america's army will start. When i start wolf all that happens is it changes my resolution to something seriously low like 600x400 and then nothing happens. I have to restart x to get my resolution back. So i figured maybe its just specific to wolf, but after i installed americas army it won't get past the splash screen. It uses about 100 percent cpu for about 40 seconds the splash screen goes away and everything is back to how it was before it started.

Any ideas on how i can go about finding what the problem is? I have no idea where to start right now because i get no errors from the game.

Yay i found the error from running america's army through the terminal. This is what i get:

--------------------------------------------------------------
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Couldn't set video mode: Couldn't find matching GLX visual

History:

Exiting due to error
-----------------------------------------------------------

Anyone know how to fix this and what causes it?
