NIC question

I am trying to setup a second NIC in my computer, is there a command to run that will tell me what IO port it is using. I did a cat /proc/ioports and I didn't see it there.

If it's a PCI card, you almost certainly won't need to specify this information. The driver will work it out when loading.

btw check /proc/pci to see all devices in the system, then check what drivers you have in kernel/modules then try to do ifconfig
