NIC problem on linux


My PC has 2 NIC, when installing RH that just detects 1 nic. After configuring IP add, broadcast, netm ask, the nic works well. But sometimes it works well and sometime it does not. Can anybody tell me what trouble and how to solve the problem?

Can I edit ifcfg-eth0 in /etc/system.../network-scripts
