NIC Install


I have a linksys usb100TX Network adapter, and I am a NEWBIE to linux, Just installed Today, and the system does not recognize it, yet the supported Hardware page on Mandrakesoft says it is compatible, How do I get this device working, all I am wanting to use the machine for is a internet server box for my other two computers. PLZ help me...thanx

P.S. If you reply plz make it as basic as you can, like I said by the newbie remark I am still learning

See http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/searc...attern=linksys (not all inclusive and sometimes outdated) to check for your device.
Post relevent parts of 'lsusb' and the relevent parts (usb devices) of the /var/log/messages file, when you plug in the device after booting.
