Question nForce dolby 5.1 surround sound

In XP, with my Asus nForce mobo, there is a dialogue where I can check that my sub goes into my mic, the rear speakers in line-in etc.

Can (and if, how?) you do this in Linux?

use alsa drivers!

Just get alsa drivers and use alsamixer. It has these settings.
