NEWBIE/ What is the command for my cd and dvd drives?
 
What i cant figure out is when i run xmms to play my mp3's i want to open diercttory and my mp3s are all on a cd and i want them to play off that what do i do. DONT HATE ME IM A BEGINER! PS im running fedora core 1

They should be in /mnt/cdrom as long as you have supermount. If not, you'll have to mount the CD manually but try that for now. ;)

I found that out BUT
 
i found out how to get to the drive but i try to play them and they cruz right along without sound so looked that up and now it says i need mp3 codecs, where do i get them and how do i install them
