Newbie:- How to install drivers for conexant 3805 adsl pci card

Hello,

I just downloaded Fedore (Core 4) and I have an eTEC internal pci modem installed. This card is based on the conexant 3805 chipset & I am unclear on how to get driver software for it. Can anyone tell me if it is compatible I am using kernel:-

2.6.11-1.1369_FC4

and I know that I am definitely able to detect it using lspci:-

00:0e.0 System peripheral: Conexant ADSL AccessRunner PCI Arbitration Device (rev 01)
00:0e.1 ATM network controller: Conexant AccessRunner PCI ADSL Interface Device (rev 01)

But when I try to set it up using the Internet Wizard it is not available in the device list. Can anyone tell me what I need to do/point me to a link

thanks

I had a similar problem on a laptop using Fedora 3. After installing the conexant chipset driver, I could then see the modem in the device list. Go to http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/ They have drivers for conexant chipsets which are very easy to install, with excellent instructions. They offer a free driver with a maximum connection speed of 14.4kps or for $14.95 you can get the full version. Once the driver is loaded you should then be able to see your modem. If you still encounter problems using fedora 4, try using Fedora 3.

Good Luck
