I'm helping our admin to compile a 2.4.23 kernel for a MoBo based on this chipset (ASUS P4P800), should we compile any particular IDE/chipset into the kernel in order to get the maximum out of this?
We don't care about sound so much, mostly the CPU/memory/PCI bus and maybe also the 1Gbit on-board ethernet.
