New Red Hat 8.0 Install - Monitor Problems

Hello!
This is my first post. I installed Red Hat 8.0 last night. It was unable to prob my no name monitor. So I chose Generic Monitor and 1027x768 @ 87Hz. I tested the settings, no problem. looked great. It asked me if I wanted a graphical logon or a text logon. I chose graphical. It reboots and comes to a x in the screen with jumbled colors in the top of the screen. I am hoping I do not have to reload Red Hat again. I am clueless. Any help would be great! Thank you!!!!
