New printer psc 1410
 

Hi i have a simple problem to describe at least, i cant get my new hp psc 1410 printer to print, is one of that multifunctional printers. I can get it to scan but not to its main purpose wich is printing, i followed the instructions on this web page :

my printer was detected but still i cant print. any ideas. i am using debian sarge by the way with a 2.6.8 kernel thanks

have you installed HPLIP? You can try to use that with CUPS webmin and localhost:631. It will also be good so that you can do scanning with SANE later. I personally disagree with the stuff on the linuxprinting.org site, except for its HCL. I know my system actually uses foomatic and stuff, but I should not need to mess with that myself, and have only messed with it when I tried following those instructions.

I solved it man i was missing the foomatic driver, it worked with both drivers hpoj and hpijs thanks a lot for your post
