New mobo - what will it break?

I just got a new mobo due to an unfortunate issue with the power supply, and it's a pretty big step up. The old one, an epox board, had a VIA KT266 chipset, while the new one is an nForce2 from Asus(the A7N8X Deluxe, the version with the bells and whistles). All the other hardware is staying the same. I know that the sound will probably break, but are there any other major issues i'll have that would keep me from just booting the old install, and making a new kernel? (I know about the nvidia lan thing, i'm covered with an older ethernet card that i can pop in)

install kernel-source if it's not already there

grab http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/n...-0283-pkg1.run

init 3
make cloneconfig(if suse)
./NFORCE-Linux-x86-1.0-0283-pkg1.run --kernel-source-path=/usr/src/linux
install all the shit
reboot

The Linux kernel now has nforce2 emulated drivers in it, but the nvidia one's are more complete. You'll be just fine.

Well, BTW, i'm running Gentoo, so most of that doesn't really apply - probably should have mentioned that.

I was more worried about driver incompatibilities that would keep the system from booting at all; if it gets that far i can handle the rest of it.

Well, i took the plunge and went ahead and booted it. In case anybody's interested in the aftermath, most things worked okay. I need to reinstall the sound and USB drivers, since both of those are different on the new board. I'm also going to have to play around with lm_sensors some to get it back working. Overall, however, it was a lot easier than i thought it would be.
