I just got me a new Toshiba. It's nice, has all the gadget trimmings, and even MS Vista (blah). A big step up from my HP Pavilion bought 5 years ago.
First thing on the agenda is, reformat the hard drive and re-partition for a Fedora 6 install. I did, now I have a duel boot (because how can one judge Vista if he does not give it a chance).
Fedora installation was fast, but a few of my devices didn't detect. (Wireless, soundcard) On my old system, I had some driver issues, but the devices were detected. This time around, no detection (of the wireless) and wrong sound driver.
I know I can get the wireless to work with ndiswrapper, but I don't know how to make the card detect. I guess I am just use to the windows device manager.
Can anyone steer me in the right path?
Mike
