hi guys
today ive just installed my new Saphire Radeon 9600 on my Fedora Core 1 box. After installing this I booted up the computer and everything worked like it was before with my previous integrated graphics. I decided to go into the display settings and change the driver to an ATI one because I thought it would probably perform better. I changed it to a ATI Radeon 9600 driver and restarted X. Unfortuneatly X did not load. The screen kept on flashing the login prompt, then a message came up saying X cannot load. It reverted it back to the previous VESA driver and everything worked fine. Can someone please explain why the Radeon driver does not work?

post here your XFree86.0.log file....it's in /var/log/XFree86.0.log and should contain the error messages and info about what happened and why the driver didn't work that's the first step..
