LinuxQuestions.org - NetXtreme II BCM5709 Gigabit Ethernet ---- Debian Etch bnx2 device

Hi Chaps,

I've got a dell 2950 with onboard "NetXtreme II BCM5708 Gigabit Ethernet" working fine with the bmx2 module.

Then there's a couple of "NetXtreme II BCM5709 Gigabit Ethernet" in the pci-e slots that do not appear to be working.

According to this page both types are supported by the bnx2 module:

However no luck here.

PCI info for the 5708 is:

07:00.0 0200: 14e4:164c (rev 12)
Subsystem: 1028:01b3

And for the 5709 is:

0c:00.1 0200: 14e4:1639 (rev 20)
Subsystem: 14e4:0907

The kernel is 2.6.18-6-amd64

Whilst the onboard 5708 is in /usr/share/misc/pci.ids the 5709 is not.

Can anyone help?
