Network not dectected?

I just installed Red Hat 9. It is on the slave drive. Win 2K on master.
I have a 3Com 3c905-TX card on the machine.
When I go to the Network configuation in RH there are no eth entrys.
I click New--> Ethernet Connection-->Drop down the list and pick the card that I have installed. Configure the automatic settings. Go back and try to activate the card. It tells me that I have to save the settings. I do that and I get a message that the card is not avaliable. It appears in the Network Configuation box but I can't activate it. Also on bootup it gives the message that the card is not present and the failed message to the right of the screen. Works fine in windoze. I've also tried a Netgear card FA310TX REV-D2 and a D-Link DFE-530TX+ Rev .E1. No joy.

I got it working. Disabled the pnp OS in the BIOS. Rebooted. The Kuduz configuration window poped up during bootup.
I just ignored it and let the system finish rebooting. Went to the network configuation in system settings and configured the card again after deleting it. Opened the terminal window and pinged Yahoo and got reply's back. Closed that and started Mozilla and it now connected to the Net.

Congrats on solving the problem Dmac, and welcome to LQ. I appreciate that you followed up on your initial post with the solution -- this will be very helpful to any future visitors who encounter the same issue. Thanks -- J.W.
