network interface (BCM4401-B0) hangs on hight network load

wired network interface (BCM4401-B0) on Fujitsu-Siemens laptop hangs on high network load (Distribution Arch linux, kernel 2.6.19 even tried 2.6.20). The problem probably appeared, when i began to use not default kernel from arch linux repository, but compiled it myself. The interface hangs, when downloading files, which are bigger than ~ 100MB, when download speed is highter than ~1Mb/s or just connecting to local computer servises, such as SMB or FTP (in these two last cases the problem persists immediatly after computer is connected, there is even no need to download something). I've tried to compile b44 module into kernel or to load it manualy, but the problem did not disapeared. Maybe there is some kind of patch or kernel compilation configuration for this type of problem. thank you in advance.
