Network card IRQs

Hi

What are the optimum IRQs for 2 Network cards (one to Cable modem, one to LAN) on a linux router box?

At the moment, LAN eth = IRQ 10, cable modem eth = IRQ 5

Cheers

I'm kind of confused about your question ? I don't think it really matters what IRQ they would be using as long as there are any conflicts with any other hardware and they work. Saying your NIC using IRQ 9 instead of having an IRQ of lets say 3 won't make a difference really. There aren't any optimal or performance gains in the number of the IRQ.
