Angry NetGear WG111 V2

My knowledge when it comes to Linux is almost non exsistent anymore. I havn't used linux in about 2 years, and my knowledge then was very limited.

Now, im trying to install a NetGear WG111 V2 USB wifi dongle to my current computer [PowerMac G4]. I had no luck with finding any ways of getting it operational on Mac OS X so I turned to Linux.

I found all the things that are recommended to install the driver, only problem is is that when I attempted to do it I was [very] unsuccesful.

Could anyone help out a noob and tell [step by step preferaibly(sp?)] me how to set this up?

I also had a D-Link DWL-G132 if the WG111 wont work.

Thanks, AJ

Edit: Also, I currently have discs for Fedora Core 5, YDL, Kubuntu, and Mandriva LE 2005. If anyone recommends any other Distros to do this [w/ PPC architecture of course] I can go download them, im not sure which is more compatible.

Ah, it seems my knowledge came back haha

I untared [w.e the term is for unzipping tar files] the ndiswrapper-1.23 file and it made a directory. I entered

Quote:
cd ndiswrapper-1.23
and it confirmed i was in it then i typed

Quote:
[root@localhost ndiswrapper-1.23]# make install
make -C driver install
make[1]: Entering directory `/root/ndiswrapper-1.23/driver'
Can't find kernel build files in /lib/modules/2.6.15-1.2054_FC5/build;
give the path to kernel build directory with
KBUILD=<path> argument to make
make[1]: *** [prereq_check] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/ndiswrapper-1.23/driver'
make: *** [install] Error 2
[root@localhost ndiswrapper-1.23]#
What exactly is the problem? I remember something about the kernel in a previous article, but I cant refer back to it because i cant find it exactly lol.

thanks, AJ
