Angry Netgear FA120 USB->LAN adapter

I just purchased the above mentioned adapter, the NetGear FA120. Their web site claims that it is supported by RedHat Linux. This appears to be incorrect.

I've looked in the /etc/hotplug/usb.agent file and the /lib/modules/kernelver/modules.usbmap files, and the vendor id (0x0846) and product id (0x1040) for this particular adapter are not listed.

Does anyone else have any experience with this adapter? Its pretty new on the market, but NetGear usually has a good reputation about these things.

I do have another USB adapter that works fine. It uses the Pegasus 2 driver and all is well with it.

BTW, this is a USB 2.0 adapter, but it auto falls back to USB 1.1. The card does show up in lsusb, just without a driver. The /var/log/messages shows the adapter being connected, but no driver claims it. Any ideas?
