I'm running Slackware 9.0 with kernel 2.4.20 and i need to get a wireless PCI card... I want a cisco Aironet 350 but they are way to expensive and ebay is a little short on PCI versions.. how about the

PCI ?

What modules needs to be loaded for this device (the claim linux support) can anyone verify this? Also, is it based on PrismII?

Thanks!

OK so i got this thing working with the 2.4.20 kernel.. now to pull DHCP from the WAP i should just have to dhcpcd ethX x == eth interface of Netgear.

Right?

Thanks

Hi - what did you have to do to get that card working with 2.4.20? I seem to be having some trouble setting it up.

thanks

Well, i can get it to read my LAN... but I can't get it to read DHCP or whatever from my router.... What file do i have to edit??

Freaksta 05-27-2003 12:14 PM

I'll SSH to my box and see if i can't find the files.. keep looking at the project page because it should tell you.. but yes there are files that you need to edit.

OK here's the dilleo.. I have a Netgear router and Netgear wireless card.. i programmed the router to always provide my MAC address with a static address.. then i went into rc.local and configured wlan0 for that address 192.168.0.2. So that's the deal.. i'm sure there is a way to do DHCP but hey, just to get you online setup static and http to 192.168.0.1 and configure your router to specify a static address to your MAC address. OK?

Good!

Sorry if that is not the answer you are looking for!
