Neither my Linkseys or my Netgear NIC's work in Red Hat 9

Is there a way I can make these work, or do I have to go out and buy another NIC. I don't really want to do that because I have 2 eatra as it is . Anyway, thanx for the help.

The linksys should be tulip driver don't know what the other is off hand

Try with just the linksys inserted adding to

/etc/modules.conf

alias eth0 tulip

reboot for good measure

or

modprobe tulip

the try and bring it up with a dummy ip address to test

ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.1

then ifconfig to see if it's taken

if so try pinging 192.168.1.1
