Need to adjust screen res but can not see anything on the the screen

I made the mistake of adjusting the screen resolution and all I can see on the screen now is everything splatered on it. If I move the mouse I can see somthign shooting across the screen but I can not see any thing to be able to adj the resolution back to 1024.

I am running Xubuntu64 and I also have Xubuntu32 and Agnula/Demudi both of which work.

Could I correct the resultion by accessing the relevant file from one of theother distros?

If so, what is the name of the file that I need to edit?

As a last resort I do not want ot have to install the distro again.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Murx , no idea about Xubuntu , but you can set screen resolution in Fedora by modifying /etc/X11xorg.conf file.

Hope it will help u
