need some help with getting my GeForce3 Ti 200 video card to work
hi guys
well, I downloaded the Nvidia driver, and before running it I edited my Xfree86 file as it should be done....then I also edited the console.perm file to remove any permission conflict, and then I ran the Nvidia instlaler.
Well, the thing is that to install the driver, the installer had to remove the previous NVIDIA kernel interface, and then it said it would compile a new one for this kernel.
Okay...I accepted in the installer.....and then after the installer was complete, I tried to run Xwindow, but I got this:
There is no Precompiled kernel interface to match my kernel, and that is what's giving me trouble, what to do?

you dont need the precompiled kernel interface, it should compile one for you. do u have your kernel source in /usr/src/linux? this is needed to compile the kernel interface
