i just got an xp 1700+ cause i saw it cheap, and it's a
b stepping. jiuhb, which i've read isn't quite as good as
the aiuhb, but anyway, it runs at a lower voltage than
my 2000+ a stepping. the 1700+ is faster than the 2000+
but this motherboard will not let me see how much. i'm
running it at about 1.48. the 2000 was running at 1.57.
anyway, the 1700b will run at the highest i can set it,
at the lowest voltage setting for this board. my shuttle
is unstable at above 144mhz bus. i've tried both
kinds of ram, and it doesn't make any difference.
the 1700 was $20 cheaper.
hi i have a AK32 shuttle board. i originly had a 900mhz chip.but i upgraded to a amd athlon 2400xp at first i could not see the screen with it so i changed it back and changed the BIOS settings. The AMD chip worked after that.
I have had my AMD chip blown so i put my 900mhz chip back in. but my graphics dont work nnow and i dont have a chip to put back in so is there anyway to chamge the BIOS without seeing the screen like a disc or sumthing!!!

there's a jumper on the motherboard, that you change
with the computer off. leave it there 10 seconds then
put it back.. it's the jumper immediately to the left of
the motherboard battery. almost everymotherobard
has a clear cmos battery.
