Need help to choose hardware for Web Server running website based on Linux and Java

Hi, all
It's our first time to run a website which is design on Java and tomcat. We use MySql5.0.
We want to try slackware as server os, but we donot know which type of hardware should we choose.
Does anybody have suggestions? For example, which brand or model is better, what about the memory and so on.
Our goal is to achive 50,000PV, we think one single server is enough.

I would look at Dell, HP, IBM servers that are certified to run Redhat, Suse, or Debian.. If those distros will run on the hardware, then Slackware should as well..
