Need help installing NIC driver

Just got myself a new MB (asus a7n8x - Dlx) & what better 2 go w/ it than a new OS (SuSE 8.1). Installed it no problem, im now @ da point of installing device drivers.
I installed the driver (network device, audio hardware, ide controller, & an USB controller) on da cd w/ YaST, it installs it. so then i restart my puter & NIC (Cable modem) & audio dont work.

Is there something im doin wrong?
Is there something i hav 2 do after installin da driver?

sorry, was in a big hurry and typed it out alittle to fast.....

anyways, im trying to install my drivers for my motherboard (mostly important want to get my NIC working) on SuSE 8.1. I've tryed using YaST, it will initulize then install then it will close so then i will restart my puter but it doesnt work. It identifies both of my cards as ASUS Network Card, when it should be:
-3Com 3C920B-EMB Integrated Fast Ethernet Controller
-NVIDIA nForce MCP Networking Adapter
I've tryed using the rpm command (something like rpm -i NVIDIA.nforce-1.0-0241.suse80.i386.rpm) but it says it is already installed. So im not sure what i did wrong or if there is something i have to config after???

Specs:
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe (integrated Audio, LAN*2)
Cable modem (no username\password required)
