need a good tape drive...

I am building a Red Hat 9 system and i need a tape drive that is compatible. Something around 20-30gb should be perfect.

Do you have a suggestion?

Thanks,

Have you decided on a tape drive yet. What kind of interface were you prefering?

Any SCSI based drive should work well with linux. 4mm is probably more popular but it does not matter if you do not need an autoloader. I have only used SCSI with linux so I don't have any real experience with other types.

IDE drives use SCSI emulation and do work with linux.

I don't have any particular brand to suggest. Might want to look at some the magizine sites for reviews.
