Hello all this is my first post in a row of many to come
I am a noob I mean A real NOOB. Never tried to Linux before.
I have googled around a bit to find any help, but did not find
any. But I found this site in my search Hopefully some of you
in here can help me.

I am trying to install kubuntu 5.10 and I try to use NEC ND 3500
to install it. It boots up ok, but I finally get up a message:
And it can't find it. NEC does not support Linux So People!
Do I have to go shopping for a new dvd-burner/rom or is there
some bright brains here?

I'm not sure how to solve your problem but I've tried various different flavors of linux and I've had no problem with my NEC 3500. Mine is an internal burner for a desktop computer. There is hope!

Got it to work I downloaded a DVD version, but the installation wanted a cd-rom version. So I downloaded the cd-rom size version and WOOT I am in Linux world
