nec e228 mobile phone file transfer
Hi you all. I am a 18-months Linux user. I currently use Slackware 10 (at my parents home) and Mandrake 10.0 Official (at home).
I recently bought a NEC e228 mobile phone with digital camera. This phone lacks IrDA or Bluetooth, but can be connected to a computer with a USB cable. I want to download my photos on the computer.
I bought the cable in the hope I can mount the phone filesystem somehow like a USB pen drive, but I was very naive. When I plug in the phone, I get in /var/log/messages is : "...no modules for USB product 409/11d/100"
Also, looking into proc :

(from Slackware 10.0 , kernel 2.4.26 on x86 machine)
I have no guess on what does it means, nor on what to do now. Googling didn't help (there is only some scattered reference on how to use cell phones as a modem...something I absolutely do not need).
Any suggestion?
