NEC chipset USB 2.0 PCI controller card not recognized

Hi all,

I've recently purchased an NEC chipset USB 2.0 controller card for my old p3 based PC. Unfortunately it is not recognized by the hardware detection on Mandrake 10.0, it appears to be flagged as a system RTC, which is definitely wrong...

Please find attached the output from lspci, and see if you can make any more sense of this than I did. It's had me scratching my head for the last two days.

The weird thing is, the card is being recognized enough for the appropriate modules (ehci-hcd & usb-ohci) to be loaded, but then everything grinds to a halt.

I've just downloaded updated packages for ldetect and ldetect-lst in case these are causing the problem... Any suggestions you may have would be GREATLY appreciated, using a 20GB iRiver over USB1.1 is getting really painful.

Problem solved
OK, I've fixed it.

Turns out the kernel was unable to allocate resources to tthe card during boot, so it wasn't fully configured. I switched the card to another slot
while installing a new sound card, and it started working. PC hardware weirds me out sometimes.
