ndiswrapper installed

Acer Aspire 2002 w/ kubuntu.
-installed ndiswrapper
-installed driver
-depmod -a
-modprobe ndiswrapper
-dmesg | grep -i ndiswrapper exports this:

I've added the included bcm43xx driver to the blacklist, but it still lists eth1 under iwconfig. eth1 doesn't work, anyways. Why isn't wlan0 showing up in iwconfig? I've tried editing the /etc/ndiswrapper/bcmwl5a/14E4:4318.5.conf to enable the radio and have googled several faqs. Any suggestions?

-d devid driver   Use installed 'driver' for 'devid'
-e driver         Remove 'driver'
-l                List installed drivers
-m                Write configuration for modprobe


where 'devid' is either PCIID or USBID of the form XXXX:XXXX

You can run "ndiswrapper -m" to write the modprobe configuration.
