ndiswrapper and an Inspiron B130

Can't seem to get anywhere with ndiswrapper. I've gotten fairly far in the setup of ndiswrapper by "ndiswrapper -i bcmwl5.inf" then "ndiswrapper -l" and it says "driver present, hardware present."
I ran "modprobe ndiswrapper" and it returns a rather lengthy error, ending in:
FATAL: Error inserting ndiswrapper (/lib/modules/2.6.17/misc/ndiswrapper.ko) Invalid argument.

What did I miss/do wrong?
