Mythtv no analog sound - pinnacle hdtv pro stick

Does anyone know how to get the analog cable tv sound working in Myth with the Pinnacle systems hdtv pro stick (usb)? I can't seem to get sound period (including xawtv, tvtime, etc.).

I was able to receive digital signals and accordingly I could receive sound over the air via the DVB drivers . . . but since moving I am restricted to old analog cable tv. I get a picture - but no sound.

Any help greatly appreciated - been working on this for a couple months now.
