I'm gonna take the plunge and try to build a MythTV box, and I was just wondering what hardware does everyone have? I'm interested in different expereances so I can base my desicion on.
I've read that the PVR-100 is the best. But what about 2008? Aren't we switching frequencies?
Also; what I plan on doing is connecting my Cable box to my Mythbox and then plug my Mythbox to my TV. Which is the "best" card (from your guys' experence) to use? Price is not really an issue...I just want some opinions/hardware specs. FYI I'm probably going to use Ubuntu 7.04 for this...
Regarding 2008, I don't think they're switching frequencies but I can't say for sure. However I am sure that they are switching from transmitting video in analog to transmitting it in digital. For a PVR/computer I would imagine this would make things even easier.
