my screen is blank after installing ati driver!

hi i am new to fedora and recently just installed fedora 3. i have a radeon 9600xt card and i wanted to get tux racer working (it had extremely slow fps), so i followed the instructions on http://www.fedorafaq.org/#radeon. i did exactly what they said and updated the yum.conf to their version and ran the command. the driver seemed to update and install correctly, but now whenever i start up the screen is all black! i can not see anything at all! i am using the latest fedora core version. 3.xx.10.xx i think

can anyone help?

thanks in advance
