My computer freezes up

I just installed a new modem into my computer and when I open my network folder everything was fine but when I connected to the Internet my computer Froze up, so I restarted my computer and connect to the Internet and got in, but when I tryed to open my network folder again my computer Froze up again. can you help me

1. You don't need to post your email address. All answers are posted on the forums so that others may benerfit. No one will email you.
2. You give zero information about what distro/version you are running. It's nigh on impossible to offer any advice with so little information.
3. I, personally, don't know what you mean by a "network folder" nor why it is relevant to this issue.

Maybe try again with a bit more detail and a bit more clarity.

Regardless, I **strongly recommend** removing your e-mail address---you are inviting a spam attack.
