My 2nd hard drive crashed, system won't boot
Heya. I've 2 hard drives in my system; 30GB primary and 40GB secondary. (hda and hdb respectively)
The 2nd hard drive crashed. Since then, when I boot, something calls up the 2nd hard drive (/dev/hdb2) and simply reports the device cannot be found. fsck checked out the 1st hard drive and it's fine; but I can't seem to find what is trying to access hdb2. I am using SuSE Pro 9.2. I've scoured YaST and found nothing, but I might be missing the obvious. (I'm a a CLI newbie.) Where/what can I check to fix the problem? Thx! |
Maybe in the /etc/fstab

Much thanks!!
Looks like I've got some studyin' to do :study: , but yes indeedie, the hdb2 reference was there. Used vi to remove it and I can get back in, whee!!! (though I'll archive my critical stuff first, hdb2 was my backup partition. Funny, that.)
Thanks!! :D |
