Angry mustek 600 cp on suse 10.0


im trying to set up my mustek 600 cp scanner on suse 10.0
in yast/hardware/scanner= it says its supported but after i click finish its not in the hardware box?
when i try sane or koola it says no scanner present

does anyone have any info on this scanner or knows how to set it up

4.2. Configuring SANE
4.2.1. SANE Backends

Whether you obtained your distribution's official SANE package, obtained a binary from the SANE homepage or compiled your own SANE binary from source, SANE should identify the appropriate backend to use for your hardware when you call scanimage or any other frontend. If no device is found when you run scanimage -L or your chosen frontend, see Section 7 for more info.

device `v4l:/dev/video0' is a Noname BT878 video ( *** UNKNOWN/GENER virtual device

ive looked at that link and its blown my head?

tried to follow it but its a bit advanced for me i typed in lsmod and got the following
33864 2 parport_pc_lp
im not sure what im supposed to do (this is the first time ive tried anything like this)
